THE DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY SOCIAL
SCIENCE is offering FSOS 5150 The African American Family: Exploring Social
Contexts, Positive Assets, & Cultural Health this spring semester. This
class is designed to orient upper division undergraduate and graduate students
to the African American experience in order to better understand African
American families through the use of legal sociopolitical scholarship and
socio-historical ethnographic research. This class meets on Tuesdays from 10:15
AM – 1:00 PM in McNeal Hall Room 375 and is taught by Tabitha Grier Reed. For
