SAINT MARY’S COLLEGE Department of Gender & Women’s Studies invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 2019. This position would teach three courses per semester based on the needs of the department and the teaching interests of the candidate from: Introduction to Gender & Women’s Studies, Transnational Feminism, and Feminist Methods. The Saint Mary’s College Department of Gender & Women’s Studies invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August, 2019 with the ability to teach some combination of the following: Introduction to Gender & Women’s Studies, Transnational Feminisms, andFeminist Methods. The individual in this position will teach three courses per semester based on the needs of the department and the teaching interests of the successful candidate. Candidates who teach and conduct research from a transnational or global perspective are preferred, as are candidates with a background in the social sciences.
A Ph.D. either in Gender and Women’s Studies, or an interdisciplinary or related-field with graduate-level certification or experience in Gender and Women’s Studies will be preferred. Candidates who are A.B.D. will be considered. The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the college which promotes a life of intellectual vigor, aesthetic appreciation, religious sensibility, and social responsibility.
