EPSY 5800 COURSE: BECOMING A RESILIENT PERSON
ESPY 5800 Special Topics in
the School of Psychology: Becoming a Resilient Person will be offered for the
Spring 2017 semester. The purpose of this course is to teach individuals the
science behind becoming a resilient person. Both undergraduate and graduate
students are welcomed to enroll. This course will be taught by Professor Clayton
Cook in Peik Hall 335 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00PM- 2:15PM.
HEALTH POLICY RESEARCH SCHOLARS PROGRAM
THE ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON FOUNDATION is pleased
to announce applications are open for their Health Policy Research Scholars
program. This program is a leadership development opportunity for first- and
second-year full-time doctoral students from underrepresented populations

Conversations": In light of the deep differences and tensions accompanying the
2016 US Presidential election, the Center
for Education Innovation (CEI) has launched a new resource page focusing on teaching and learning tools that faculty,
instructors, and TA's can use. CEI will
also be hosting conversations on this topic on January 11 and 12, 2017: "When
Tolerance Is Not Enough: Supporting Undergraduate Learners in Discussions, Dialogues, and Dissent"
on January 11, 2017; 9:00AM -9:50AM in Bruininks 432A and "Listening
as Mentors & Allies: Supporting Graduate Students after the Election" on January 12, 2017; 9:00 AM

IMMIGRATION HISTORY
RESEARCH CENTER is pleased to announce their event entitled “LGBT Immigrant
Stories”. This event will focus on the various
intersections of gender and sexuality with border policing and immigrant identities.
This event will feature keynote speaker Professor Eithne Luibheid and panel
discussion moderated by Professor Martin Manalansan. This event will take place on Monday, January
