Joe Whitson was awarded the American Studies Department's 2016 Joseph J. Kwiat award for the best U of M American Studies grad student conference paper presented at ASA for his paper entitled, "The Dorothy Molter Museum: Collective Memory, Ojibwe Homelands, and Narratives of Wilderness".
