The College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities and the Religious Studies Program
invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in Qur’anic
Studies to begin 8/28/2017. A Ph.D. in Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, or other related area is required
by the start date.
We are searching for a scholar of early Islam with clear expertise in the interpretation of the Qur’an and
related literature and history of this period. Knowledge of other relevant language
families, such as Hebrew, Coptic, Greek, Persian, etc., is preferred. Application deadline: October 17, 2016
