THE HUMAN RIGHTS PROGRAM and the CENTER for BIOETHICS present The Human
Rights Program and the Center for Bioethics is pleased to present their event
titled “Health, Stigma and Human Rights”. The conference will highlight, in
particular, the human rights dimensions related to the prevention of infectious
diseases, including social and economic discrimination caused by stigma. This
event will take place on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 8:30 AM- 5:30PM in Thomas
H. Swain Meeting Room, McNamara Center. Current PhD student, Brendan McHugh,
will also speaking on the “Advocating for the rights of affected persons and
communities” panel from 2:00PM -3:30PM at this event.
