ISM, SAACP, MIRAC, AND SDS-UMN are
hosting a view of the movie “Walkout” about the historic 1968 Chicano student
walkouts in East Los Angeles and then having a student-led discussion about
mobilizing students and youth to participate in this year’s May 1st
March for Immigrant and Worker Rights. The movie will be shown on Friday, April
20 at 5:00 PM in South High School Room 140. The March for Immigrant and Worker
Rights will be on Tuesday, May 1 at 3:30 starting on Lake & Nicollet, Minneapolis.
