ZHIHUI SOPHIA GENG,
who holds a Ph.D. from the American Studies department, has been selected as
the 2018 recipient of the Robert Spaeth Teacher of Distinction Award at St.
John’s University. Each year one St. John’s faculty members is recognized by
this award for teaching excellence. The recipient has customarily delivered the
opening convocation address at St. John’s each fall.
