"Using Theatrical Techniques to Deliver Powerful Presenattions" Grad Student Workshop

THE GRADUATE SCHOOL is offering a graduate student workshop called “Using Theatrical Techniques to Deliver Powerful Presentations.” The workshop will be led by Kym Longhi, Senior Teaching Specialist in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance, and will be held on December 1st from 3:00 – 5:00pm in the Beacon Room, University Recreation and Wellness Center. Theatre Arts and Dance (College of Liberal Arts)

2-hour workshop you will explore theatrical exercises and techniques
that will help you:

·       Understand and practice the elements of effective
communication and performance

·       Connect to your audience with increased presence

·       Project your voice with more power and ease

·       “Think on your feet” and develop confidence in your own creativity

Demystify successful performance, discover creative strategies to
bring your ideas to life, and literally “play” your way into more
vibrant and evocative presentations through the art of acting!
