Workshop on the Comparative History of Women, Gender, and Sexuality

THE WORKSHOP ON THE COMPARATIVE HISTORY OF WOMEN, GENDER, AND SEXUALITY is currently seeking faculty and graduate student papers for their Spring 2018 schedule. The workshop is normally held on Fridays from 3;30 – 5:00 PM. If you are interested in sharing a paper or serving as a faculty commentator this fall, please contact Michael Kadow, kadow003@umn.edu, and/or Anna Clark, clark106@umn.edu. For more information, see below.

The Workshop on the Comparative History of Women, Gender, and Sexuality (WCHWGS) is currently seeking faculty and graduate student papers for our Spring 2018 schedule.

If you have a conference paper, dissertation chapter, article draft or any type of work-in-progress that you would like to receive feedback on (it must address the history of women, gender, and/or sexuality in some fashion), please let us know as soon as possible. We encourage work that is at any stage of the writing process.

For those of you who have not attended the workshop in the past (or have forgotten!) and are interested in presenting, the workshop operates as follows. A week before you are set to present, we will ask for a copy of your paper so that we may distribute it to our list-serv. At the workshop, a faculty member will open the discussion on your paper with a comment. After the comment (and after you've had a chance to respond), the discussion will open up to workshop members.

The workshop is normally held on Fridays from 3:30-5:00pm.  If you are interested in sharing a paper or serving as a faculty commentator this fall, please contact Michael Kadow (kadow003@umn.edu) and/or Anna Clark (clark106@umn.edu), this year's coordinators of WCHWGS. And as always, please feel free (and we encourage you!) to circulate this message to friends and colleagues within your own departments and institutions.

If you'd also like to be added to our list-serv and attend the workshop, please contact us as well.
