THE INSTITUTE
for ADVANCED STUDY, THE DEPARTMENT of GENDER, WOMEN and
SEXUALITY STUDIES, and CENTER of BIOETHICS is pleased announce a reading
workshop with Harsha Walia entitled “Undoing Border Imperialism”. Walia’s book,
“Undoing Border Imperialism”, provides the alternative conceptual
frameworks of border imperialism and decolonization by reformulating immigrant rights movements within a
transnational analysis of capitalism, labor exploitation, settler colonialism,
state building, and racialized empire.
This workshop will take place on Friday,
November 18 from 10:30 AM- 12:30PM in Ford Hall 400.
